Signing up to vote by mail or updating your voter registration is now easier than ever with the new Oklahoma Voter Portal. 

You can now request an absentee ballot (anyone is eligible) and update your voter registration online.

  • When is Election Day?
    The Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. As of now, Jennifer does not have a primary opponent. The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
  • How do I register to vote?
    You must fill out a voter registration application form. Voter registration applications are available at your County Election Board, post offices, tag agencies, libraries and many other public locations. You will be offered a voter registration application when you get your driver’s license and when you apply for assistance at some government agencies. You also may begin an application form or update your voter registration online through the State Election Board’s new Voter Portal. Visit the State Election Board for more information about registering to vote.
  • How can I vote?
    You may vote in person on Election Day at your polling location, vote absentee in person at your local elections office, or absentee by mail. Oklahoma requires that you bring a valid state-issued ID (voter registration card, driver’s license, or state ID card) or military ID. Click HERE to access the Oklahoma Voter Portal.
  • How can I request an absentee ballot?
    You can click HERE to request your absentee ballot online. Be sure to submit it in well in advance of the deadline, October 28, 2020, to ensure it’s received on time.
  • Is everyone eligible to vote by mail?
    YES! To vote by mail in Oklahoma, you must apply for a ballot. This is the easiest way to never forget to vote. Start by applying here. Applying online is fast, easy, and secure through the Oklahoma State Election Board’s website. You can ask for any ballot you can vote on for the calendar year. Even if you have requested to vote by mail previously, you must make a new request every year. For example, if you requested to receive your ballot by mail in 2020 or 2021, you must make a new request for 2022.
  • When do I request an absentee ballot?
    You can request an absentee ballot at any time during the year however, for upcoming elections, requests must be made before 5 PM on the Tuesday prior to election day.
  • When and where is early in-person voting?
    This varies by election. For school board and other local elections, early in-person voting happens the Thursday and Friday prior to election day. Voting hours are 8 AM - 6 PM at your county election board. For statewide, congressional, legislative, and county elections that fall in an even-numbered year, early in-person voting happens the Thursday, Friday, AND Saturday prior to election day. Voting hours are 8 AM - 6 PM on Thursday and Friday, and 9 AM - 2 PM on Saturday. Voting takes place at your county election board (unless other arrangements have been made; please contact your county election board to confirm dates and locations).
